Wicked Wicked Wicked! I have enjoyed all of the Christafari albums released, with my favorite being Soulfire. Soulfire was young, hip, experimental, and fresh, but very familiar all at the same time. Through the years Christafaris sound has changed, but with No Compromise, the simple elements that made me fall in love with Christafari, can be found here again. This album is a breath of fresh air. The culture tunes are killers, the roots tunes are deep, the lovers rock are rockin, and the dancehall is deadly. Mark is at the height of his singing style with this outing. Instead of an artist trying to pull off a caribbean accent, which can be heard on Soulfire, the man sounds very west indian these days. If I could use one word to describe this album, it would be wicked. |
