Dizzy Gillespie is a good place to start to introduce oneself to Jazz, and very especially his latest period when he played with musicians from all corners of the planet re-creating the concept of Big Band, thus the name United Nations. If you like Bossanova, Afro-caribbean percussions, cuban rythms, and so on, you will also enjoy this.
