Gloria Richetta Jones (October 19, 1945, Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She recorded the 1964 northern soul song, "Tainted Love", later a hit for the British synth-pop duo, Soft Cell. She was the girlfriend of glam rock artist Marc Bolan of the band T. Rex until his death in 1977.
Vixen is a studio album released by Gloria Jones in 1976. This album features songs written by Marc Bolan (of T-Rex), as well as the only two confirmed Bolan and Jones co-writes, "High", and "Cry Baby". It also features an updated version of "Tainted Love.”
