Inventario Balcanico. L'accumulazione delle immagini della catastrofe umana e ambientale provenienti dalla ex-Jugoslavia ci spingevano a cercare materiali ed immagini, testimonianze che recuperassero valori vitali preesistenti che non potevano non esservi. Registrazioni della vita 'così come era'. Materiali per un film che celebri la vita prima dei conflitti e delle divisioni. La storia vista dal privato, dalla vita intima, partendo dal 'baso', dal minimo, dal dettaglio. Anni '20 - '30 - '40. Un lavoro di analisi, su formati desueti, non più proiettabili, per rendere indistruttibile la memoria racchiusa nelle immagini ritrovate, girate da amatori, viaggiatori, soldati nazisti dei Balcani.
Nocturne. Un corto dedicato alle tre principali città exjugoslave: Sarajevo e Belgrado sono due episodi filmati rubando momenti davvero con una camera DV. Il terzo, Zagabria, e un frammento rallentato di qualche antico film, ed è bello come un Degas.

The accumulation of images of human and ecological disasters from the former Yugoslavia prompted us to look for evidence of pre-existing essential values, which could not possibly not exist. Records of life as it was. Material for a film which celebrates life over conflict and division. History perceived from a private, intimate point of view, history with a small h, starting from the bottom, from details. The 20s, the 30s, the 40s. A work of analysis, based on formats no longer used, no longer even projectable, to make indestructible the memories preserved in the images we have found: films shot by amateurs, by travellers, by Nazi soldiers in the Balkans.
