Since I have had her third album since the beginning of the 90s (and love above all), I have now also added work No. 2. As with “Be Careful”, the acoustic Guitar dominates again, partly (discreetly) with e-guitar, bass, drums and keys. Once again, I am thrilled by her ability to write wonderful melodies that grab you and never let you get bored. Her voice is wonderful and incomparable. In the low registers rough, almost brittle, in the higher registers clear to scratchy.In conjunction with her guitars and fellow musicians, this sometimes creates the Goosebump.
This album is flawless folkrock of the finest kind with a slight country impact. The production is not quite as opulent as in “Be Careful”, but goes OK altogether. Don McCollister.The musicians all from the Atlanta studio scene

For my tastes “Be Careful” because of it slightly better production and the fuller instrumentation a touch better, they are equal from songwriting. Unfortunately, there are no audio samples, so my tip:Be sure to listen to their 2008 mini album “Katy The Wonder Cub” to get a taste of their music and voice.The title “Soft Place To Land” could come from this or “Be Careful”. don't hesitate to land these treasures while they're still cheap to get via Market Place. They're worth every penny, and this album definitely deserves its 5 stars.
