Parks and Recreation è una serie televisiva statunitense realizzata con la tecnica del falso documentario, in onda a partire dal 9 aprile 2009 su NBC e attualmente alla sua quarta stagione. In Italia viene trasmessa dal 6 gennaio 2012 su Joi.
La protagonista della serie è Leslie Knope, vice direttrice del Parks and Recreation Department (il dipartimento che si occupa della manutenzione dei parchi pubblici) della città fittizia di Pawnee, Indiana. Il carattere ottimista ed entusiasta di Leslie si scontra spesso con quello ben diverso dei suoi colleghi, dal sarcastico Tom Haverford, all'urbanista Mark Brendanawicz, al capo-dipartimento con un'ottica antigovernativa Ron Swanson, all'apatica stagista April Ludgate. La migliore amica di Leslie è Ann Perkins, conosciuta durante una pubblica assemblea durante la quale ha protestato contro la presenza di un'enorme buca nei pressi della sua casa, in cui è caduto e ha riportato la frattura delle gambe il fidanzato Andy Dwyer.
Nella seconda serie: Ann rompe con Andy e, con l'approvazione di Leslie, inizia a vedersi con Mark. Viene rivelato che il matrimonio di Tom con l'attraente chirurgo Wendy...

| The series follows Leslie Knope, the deputy head of the Parks and Recreation department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Knope takes on a project with a nurse named Ann to turn a construction pit into a park, while trying to mentor a bored college-aged intern. However, Leslie must fight through the bureaucrats, problem neighbors, and developers in order to make her dream a reality, all while with a camera crew recording her every gaff and mishap.
The Parks gang completes one last task together, before saying goodbye to Pawnee.
Ben and April conduct a series of interviews, while Andy and Donna help Ron adjust to a life change.
On the last episode of Andy’s TV show, his friends wish him luck with whatever comes next.
Leslie and Ben come under fire for participating in an old Pawnee tradition. April and Ron go on a scavenger hunt. Donna and Garry stroll down memory lane.
While Leslie and April take a business trip to Washington, April wrestles with her future. Andy tries to find April the perfect job.
