Another CD of Flemish dance music, this time exclusively instrumental works by Susato. The content partly overlaps with that from other CDs that I have posted in the past, most notably "Sign of the Crumhorn" (http://1337x.org/old/torrent_25715), but that is not to say that this CD is simply 'more of the same'.

While some of the tunes will be familiar, the interpretation is very different. This is a highly-polished and precise recording that shows noble restraint, and the tracks often flow into each other in the manner of an authentic performance, rather than being presented as individual pieces. Some really wonderful renaissance sounds here.
