Season 1, Episode 20: A New Hope

Eric, Hyde, Fez and Kelso go see Star Wars and become obsessed with it. Red's boss Milbank returns to
town. Eric fights his son David, whose butt he once kicked in elementary school, for moving in on
Donna.

Season 1, Episode 21: Water Tower

The gang vandalizes the town water tower by painting a giant marijuana leaf on it, but it is confused
for a hand giving the finger. While painting it, Kelso
falls off the water tower and Jackie convinces him it's Hyde's fault. Eric decides to ask his mother
for advice but walks in on his parents having sex, which
he tells Laurie, who tells their parents who give him an embarrassing talk.

Hyde meets a girl who asks him to go to New York with her.

When Grandma Forman dies unexpectedly the Formans have to deal with the loss. Eric goes to a bar, Kitty
cooks, Laurie thinks of her inheritance, and Red has
to deal with his over-emotional brother.

Season 1, Episode 24: Hyde Moves In
Original Air Date—19 July 1999
Kelso has the brilliant idea to go skinny-dipping, but all their clothes get stolen, so the basement
gang goes to the Hyde home to put something on. Thus
they learn his mother Edna has left, and Eric soon finds out she's not coming back, ever. Spoiled
Jackie manages to catch something which gives her a rash,
scary when Michael sweetly brings her a teddy-bear. Midge's Feminist Warriors -which no other husband
puts up with- keep making her crazy, yet member Sharon
actually proves an old-fashioned caring housewife at heart when she finds good provider Bob culinarily
neglected. Red felt with the car plant about to close
down money is too tight even to afford pork shops, yet Kitty and Eric implicitly expect him to 'play
Santa Claus' for home-wrecked Hyde, who still proves an incorrigibly proud, selfish ingrate towards
Eric.

Season 1, Episode 25: The Good Son
Original Air Date—26 July 1999
Goodfornothing Hyde surprises everyone, even himself, responding to Kitty's maternal influence by
making some efforts at study and chores, no longer
'admired' by the other boys as the perfect bad example. Eric's initial happiness with the brother he
never had soon turns in frustration as Hyde constantly
gets hight praise and is even set as an example for doing less and half as good, while Eric is now kid
no. 3, and listens to one of Kelso's worst-advised
ideas... Red's fellow Korea veteran Bull is in Point Place, showing off to him him and Bob as a success
in business selling hot tubs with a young, attractive
wife; when the Formans attend his 'key party', they aren't prepared for that term meaning wife-swapping
by lottery...

That '70s Show is de populaire retro show die gaat over het leven van een groep tieners in de
Amerikaanse plaats Point Place. De show schets een weergave van
de jaren '70 met zijn typische modetrends en politieke en sociale gebeurtenissen.
In That '70s Show worden sociale thema's aangesneden als feminisme, de nieuwe houding ten opzichte van
seksualiteit, de economische moeilijkheden in tijden
van recessie, wantrouwen tegen de Amerikaanse regering, de snelle ontwikkeling van televisie en het
gebruik van drugs.
Het leven van de tiener Eric Forman, zijn vier vrienden en zijn vriendin Donna Pinciotti staan
centraal. In die groep worden de verschillende onderlinge relaties belicht, met als belangrijkste die
tussen Eric en Donna.

A New Hope
Na het zien van Star Wars droomt Eric dat hij Luke Skywalker is en dat Prinses Leia (Donna) het een
beetje te goed kan vinden met Dart Vader (Donna's vriend David)
Water Tower
Kelso komt in het ziekenhuis terecht na van de watertoren van de stad te zijn gevallen, maar Eric
beleeft een nog veel grotere schok als hij per ongeluk bij zijn ouders binnen loopt terwijl ze seks
hebben.
Punk Chick
Hyde ontmoet het meisje van zijn dromen als punk chick Chrissy de stad in komt scheuren op haar Vespa
en hem uitnodigt meet haar naar New York te verkassen
Grandma's Dead
Eric wordt verteerd door schuldgevoel nadat hij zijn oma vertelt dat ze er niet dood aan zou gaan wat
aardiger voor zijn ouders te zijn en ze, luttele seconden later, dood neer valt.
Hyde Moves In
Als de moeder van Hyde er vandoor gaat met een trucker en haar zoon alleen achter laat, besluiten Red
en Kitty hem bij hem te laten intrekken.
The Good Son
Ook al geeft Eric toe dat Hyde broer is die hij nooit had, raakt ij nogal overstuur als zijn ouders hun
nieuwe 'zoon' een voorkeursbehandeling geven.
