While this movie comes to us from Iran, it has great interest for the West and was been widely acclaimed by critics, in France especially.
The message of the movie is that in the worst conditions of depravation of human interactivity, retardation and suffering of human misery is the certain result.
Its depressing from that perspective however the story of these two young girls should endear them to many and show that there is human outrage that must engage itself wherever such oppression is foind, however well meaning it might be couched to be intended by the perpetrators.
Most in Iran would have been shocked by the story and clearly there is hope for a better future for a society that is humanistically engaged to be completely vigilant for their own vulnerable ones that would otherwise suffer needlessly as is depicted in this somewhat interesting movie tale.
You will find the people of Iran to be among the warmest in the world, let alone the region in my own experience.
