10 years after the death of their son, a divorced couple is suddenly reunited by supernatural events that offer them a chance at forgiveness.
Mark ed Elizabeth sono una coppia innamorata e impegnata a garantire al figlio un roseo futuro. Un tragico incidente automobilistico uccide però il piccolo, mandando a pezzi il legame tra i due amorevoli genitori. Sei anni dopo, Elizabeth è divenuta una scrittrice di successo e Mark lavora come avvocato aziendale. Si sono oramai separati ed Elizabeth si è anche risposata quando le riparazioni della casa in cui i due vivevano li costringe a ritornare nel luogo dove un tempo erano felici.
