Spider-Man's harshest critic, outspoken news magnate J. Jonah Jameson, is targeted by the Beetle, a villain equipped with an array of high-tech weaponry. Much to Peter's annoyance, Fury tasks the team with guarding the <i>Daily Bugle</i> building, but when Mary Jane tells Peter she is meeting Jameson for a job interview, he tries to stop her entering the building in case the Beetle attacks.
