We may never see an HD version as apparently the series was poorly made by relative standards
of available resources even at the time. How sad.
Here is the best available version of it - 576p picture at least as good or better than any of the others (which are mainly 480p by the way such as the Arts and Entertainment version - which we donated a full set of DVDs to the local library of - cost us $260 Cdn back then - and even the Acorn version likewise 480p from which we ripped the english subtitles template and perfected them for this series version from LWT/Granada 'Network' UK TV Channel.
Enjoy this best look at British culture in the main over the centuries including the upper and lower classes brought together under one roof under the kind leadership of (seeming fresh from Germany perhaps too likely)
Lord Bellamy.
720 X 576 video @5000k video bitrate (the full bitrate of video on the DVD collection) along with full 192k Dolby
Ac3 stereo audio and all five episodes of DVD extras "The story of Upstairs Downstairs" plus more including
a complete set of subtitles we perfected by watching every single moment of this DVD series from start to end.
Thanks for seeding
